No Camphor – is a chemical used as a cover on your nails.  If used in large doses can cause seizures and deprives the nails of nutrients causing a yellow staining on your nails.

No Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) – is added to nail polish to make it less prone to cracks and chips.  However, this chemical has been linked to birth defects and reproduction issues.

No Ethyl Tosylamide/Epoxy Resin – this chemical is used as a plasticizer and helps polishes dry faster.  This ingredient has antibiotic properties and raises concern over antibiotic resistance.

No Formaldehyde – is a chemical that is often used as a preservative, sterilizer and embalmer. This chemical is added to nail polishes that are also considered "nail hardeners." Formaldehyde is classified as a known carcinogen and linked to causing cancer.

No Formaldehyde Resin – used as a hardener and is a derivative of Formaldehyde.  If used in large doses can be an allergen.

No Gluten – is used to help moisturize soft, brittle nails.  Is considered nontoxic by some, but for those who are gluten intolerant, does potentially pose serious issues.

No Parabens – a group of ingredients that act as preservatives. Mimicking estrogen, may trigger hormonal problems.  Also, parabens have been associated with increased risk of breast and skin cancer.

No Toluene - is used to help keep nail polish smooth and even when applied.  However, Toluene has been linked to cause dizziness, nausea, headaches – issues with the nervous system.  Birth defects and developmental problems in children have also been linked to Toluene when mothers were exposed to the chemical during pregnancy.

No Triphenyl Phosphate (TPHP) – used as a plasticizer to make the polish more flexible and durable.  Research suggests this chemical can cause changes in your hormone regulation and disrupt your endocrine system.  It could also affect the reproductive system and your metabolism.

No Xylene – is used to keep the polish from getting gunky.  If inhaled or ingested can be toxic and irritating to the eyes, skin and respiratory tract.  Also, a possible carcinogen.

It is impossible to entirely make nail polish with all organic ingredients; Ryder K will always do our best to stay away from toxic harmful ingredients and continue to produce products with our customers' best interest at heart.

With Care,
